This widespread species of southeastern wetlands was unknown in Ky. until a coll. by R. Thompson in 2020 from LAUR (BEREA), at the shores of Laurel Lake, a large artificial impoundment. There may also be recent records from western regions of the state (D. Rodgers/NP, pers. comm.). The first record from Tenn, may date from 1977 (SERNEC 2024).
