Senna marilandica (L.) Link
ALI: no HAB: f-10,8,6,4, n/a, D, 4 ABU: g10, s10, -2
This is widespread across eastern states south of the Great Lakes and New England, especially in thin woods, riparian zones, old fields and roadsides on seasonally damp, base-rich soils. It is sometimes confused with hebecarpa, but there is no evidence of hybridization here or elsewhere (Y). Neither species is known to form rhizobial nodules or to fix nitrogen (Bryan et al. 1996).
