This Eurasian aquatic ("water chestnut") has gradually invaded mid-Atlantic states since the 1870s, and it may be spreading west (K). There is a 2006 report from the US Army Corps at Laurel Lake (WHIT; eddsmaps.org). However, there has been no following collection or other documentation. Is this species really established there?
