Polemonium reptans L. var. villosum E.L. Braun
ALI: no HAB: 5,4,7, n/a, C, 1+ ABU: g7, s7, -2
This occurs only in Ohio and Ky., on relatively acid soils along the western edge of the Appalachian Plateaus and in the adjacent Knobs. It differs from typical reptans as follows (W): inflorescences, and often stems below, densely glandular-villous (versus minutely puberulent or almost glabrous); corollas 8-13 mm long (versus 12-16 mm). Uncertain records (mapped here as open dots) are more densely pubescent, than typical reptans but they lack the dense long glandular hairs of var. villosum, and they mostly occur west of Appalachian regions.
