Viburnum cassinoides L.
ALI: no HAB: 1,6,9,12, n/a, B, 4 ABU: g8, s8, -2
This is a largely Appalachian species. In Ky. it occurs mostly along streams on sandy soils, from rocky banks of larger river to swampy sites along smaller streamheads. It is also found rarely on sandstone clifftops. There has been much traditional use of the bark from this and other species of Viburnum for uterine cramps (Yougken 1939, Awan et al. 2013).
