This is a widely scattered annual in temperate North America, but it does not seem to be increasing in Ky. Most records date from 1910-1940 (Gm, B, M). The few colls. during more recent decades were mostly made by J. Thieret or others in the northern Bluegrass. However, there has been some confusion with latifolia and all records need to be rechecked.
