This is a Eurasian species typical of damp sandy coastal flats. It has been collected from a "chrome ore pile" in MARS (Browne & Athey 1976; with coll. at EKY and ?MEM). The species remains virtually unknown elsewhere in North America, and it was not treated in FNA 23.
