Fabaceae <F-Desmodieae> Desmodium <Stipitata> perplexum ("dillenii")
Desmodium perplexum Schub.
ALI: no HAB: F-10,7, n/a, D, 5 ABU: g10, s10, 1
This is close to glabellum and often confused; see notes under that species. D. perplexum is concentrated in east-central states, especially on relatively fertile soils. In the old fields, fencerows and roadsides of Ky., it is usually the most common "tick-trefoil" and it is often the most common native legume in more eutrophic agricultural regions. However, it is much browsed and reduced by livestock or deer in some localities.
