This diploid (2n = 30) occurs mostly on the southeastern Coastal Plain. There are no confirmed records of strictus from Ky., but it is known from adjacent counties in se. Mo. and w. Tenn. There is a coll. by J.L. Gentry (KY) that may come from the state, but the label is missing.
