This Eurasian species is often cultivated as "garden cress" (or "Persian cress") in northern states and adjacent Canada, and it may be expected as an escape (Cr, FNA 7, K, W). However, there are no colls. from the wild in Ky. Compared to virginicum, it has larger siliques (5-6 mm long versus 1.5-4 mm) and 6 stamens (versus 2).
