This monotypic genus of southeastern lowlands is easily overlooked, and probably much more widespread than colls. indicate (see also Y). Reported colls. from Ky. are mostly accessed in Tenn. (by E.W. Chester at APSC and R. Athey at MEM). It is a winter-annual but matures seed relatively late, in Aug-Sep (C.C. Baskin et al. 2003).
