This recently described species is largely restricted to flat puddling areas of limestone glades or adjacent pastures in n. Ala. and c. Tenn., but with disjunctions as far as c. Tex., n. Ill. and s. Ontario (Estes & Small 2007, Estes 2008). It has been confused with neglecta. The first Ky. record was a coll. from SIMP (WKY): M.E. Medley-78-012, 9 May 1978, "wet spot in pasture, E side of road across from the Simpson County Glade, 1/8 mi S from the Warren Co. line on US 31W." It has since been found neartby by D. Estes (APSC) in the Flat Rock Glade complex (SIMP). And during 2016, it was also found by M. Brock (APSC) along rocky shores of a seasonal pond south of Russellville (LOGA).
