This East Asian shrub is widely cultivated in eastern states and may be persistent at some sites (K). However, there are no records of escaped plants in Ky. Flowering is most prolific during May-Jun but can persist to Nov (2024); humming birds are highly attracted (P. Adanick, pers. comm.).
