This species is endemic to the limestone glades of c. Tenn, plus a few sites in s. Ky. and n. Ala. It is an annual, germinating usually in spring but sometimes in fall; populations are highly variable from year to year (Baskin & Baskin 1979), In Ky. the only record is from the Woodburn Glade of southern WARR: M.
