There is little evidence that this occasionally cultivated Mediterranean vine is truly naturalized in the Ohio Valley or central Mississippi Valley, but records are scattered widely across northeastern regions (PL). In Ky. it is known from only one coll., from a "dry roadside thicket at Lake Louisville" in 1957 (JEFF at DHL).
