This prostrate annual (or perhaps perennial) grows on shorelines and disturbed wet ground throughout most regions of the southeastern states. In Ky. it is uncommon to rare in more calcareous landscapes. But it occurs locally along small streams with Phyla lanceolata in old mowed fields of FAYE.
